CFL’s principal activity is the provision of life-line ferry services under a contract with the Scottish Government. It is the UK's largest ferry operator in terms of ships (37) and destinations served (29) and one of the largest transport operators in Scotland. From Oban CFL provides links to the islands of Mull, Lismore, Colonsay, Coll, Tiree and Barra.
CFL operates Railway Pier and South on behalf of CMAL. The CalMac Port Manager & duty Piermaster control the berthing and activities on these piers.
In this section the “Scheduled Arrival/Departures” page provides a daily chronological list of ferry movements that allows mariners to be aware in advance of scheduled ferry movements. The “CalMac Ferry Status” page provides a direct link to CFL’s website to see if ferries using Oban are on time, delayed or otherwise disrupted.
